The Origin
Built out of a very
specific frustration.
You find a roaster that sounds incredible. The tasting notes are poetic. The bag is beautiful. You commit. R520 later, you take your first sip and nothing. Not bad, just not for you. The bag sits in your cupboard for three months, a monument to misplaced optimism.
Four of us had this problem. Independently. Repeatedly. We compared notes one afternoon and realised we had collectively wasted enough money on neglected coffee bags to fund a small expedition to Ethiopia.
So we built SMPL. Sample first. Commit later. Simple.
